UBT Rector Hajrizi Presents UBT Success Stories in Skills for Resilience at “LKDF Forum 2022”

On October 21, 2022, UBT Rector Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi participated in the “LKDF Forum 2022; Skills for Resilience; Are We Ready for a Skills Revolution?”, organized by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).

As an invited speaker, Rector Hajrizi presented UBT’s success story in the field of resilience skills, focusing on future professions and the role of academia in fostering such skills. He highlighted UBT’s achievements and international rankings in these fields, showcasing how the institution has contributed to the development of resilient skills.

The forum addressed the importance of skill elasticity in the context of the skills development environment. Before a panel of professionals and experts from diverse sectors, Rector Hajrizi shared his insights on sustainable development and skills advancement, illustrating UBT’s accomplishments in enhancing skills at the individual, organizational, educational system, and private sector levels in Kosovo.

In addition, Prof. Dr. Hajrizi emphasized the significance of developing new technologies that would improve individual skills and the conditions within the education and science sectors. He reiterated UBT’s commitment to sustainable development, stressing the importance of aligning current and emerging skills with sustainability goals.

The “Learning and Knowledge Development Facility (LKDF)” is a platform that promotes industrial skills development among young people in developing economies. This year’s “LKDF Forum 2022” aimed to bring together partners, experts, and professionals to address topics related to skills development and resilience in skills.
