UBT ranks again among the top 100 best universities in the world for Real Impact

UBT is continuing its successes in the international arena by raising the image of Kosovo around the world, this time ranking among the top 100 best universities in the world for Real Impact, by the WURI platform, after ranking in the sixth place in the world that the latter has given UBT for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

UBT is ranked in several categories for outstanding innovative role in entrepreneurship, crisis management, ethical values, industrial application, mobility category, as well as in the category of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

“We are pleased to inform you that the University for Business and Technology – UBT has been selected as one of the most innovative universities among the world’s real impact universities (WURI) for 2022,” said the letter from the founding director of WURI Ranking, Hwy-chang MOON, to the Rector of UBT, Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi.

UBT in this ranking is ranked in the world’s longest place in the category of Implementation of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This UBT ranking has achieved after witnessing concrete positive results in the implementation of innovative approach and innovative digital platforms in its daily educational, research and development activities. In this context, UBT has provided a good example of the implementation of complete digitization of the education and research system, implementation of the concepts Society 5.0, University 4.0 and Classroom 3.0, integration of AVR in its daily activities, and the start of the use of 5G technology. All these platforms and instruments UBT implements within the Small-Scale Smart Ecosystem initiative.

In the category of Entrepreneurship in which UBT is ranked among the top 100 universities in the world, UBT is evaluated for its initiatives and implementation of various practices which help study programs in the field of entrepreneurship.

UBT is assessed in the category for ethical values for its contribution with real impact to society, specifically assessed for concrete initiatives and projects with broad socio-economic and infrastructure impact, such as Smart City, platform for collecting and distributing scientific works done in Kosovo, as well as for providing concrete professional assistance to central and local public institutions.

In the category of student mobility, UBT is evaluated for the work done both for students coming to UBT, as well as those who go to other universities, based on the objectives of internationalization within and outside the country. Based on institutional practices, UBT has continuously worked on the internationalization of programs and curricula, using digital learning tools or approaches, increasing the number of english language study programs, the number of joint studies and dual diplomas, and at the same time increasing the number of international students.

For the crisis management category, UBT is specifically evaluated for the approach and management of crises resulting from developments and circumstances created outside the institution such as the global crisis and the national crisis.

UBT’s success in WURI 2022 follows the ranking among the best universities in the world by Times Higher Education, thus becoming the most successful institution in the region, but also raising Kosovo’s representation level in the international arena.
