UBT initiates “I support the empowerment of girls and women” Campaign
05/03/2019In the framework of 8th of March – “International Women’s Day”, UBT has initiated a campaign called “I support the empowerment of girls and women”, through which aims to enhance the self-awareness among citizens about the importance of creating an equal environment for every person.
UBT is the best example of developing and enhancing equality within the institution, because since its foundation it has provided equal employment opportunities for both genders.
Due to the fact that the employment process is based on merits, this has made possible the employment of a large number of women reaching 40% of overall staff. They have revealed a high and extraordinary performance. Moreover, women have been engaged in numerous coordinating and managing structures.
Such scale comes at a time when female employment in the labor market at the country level is only 12%, while at the governmental level is about 30%.
UBT has given a great contribution to community aiming to improve well-being of citizens and it has tried to achieve this by providing equal opportunities for everyone.
