05/06/2024The VIRTUAL project ( Vocational Innovation Renewing Tourism Advanced Learning ), in which CEFE Macedonia is a partner, together with expert organizations from Italy, Kosovo and Albania, will provide training for 50 trainers on how to use virtual technologies in the education of professional staff in the tourism sector.
This opportunity was agreed upon and organized by the partners at a meeting held on June 3 and 4, 2024 in Skopje, organized by CEFE Macedonia.
The trainings for trainers will be conducted by experts and academics from the University of Business Technologies ( UBT ) Kosovo, and will take place in the second week of September 2024 at the European University Tirana , Albania.
In addition to this mobility for educators in the field of tourism, the partners have also agreed on mobility for 40 students from secondary vocational schools from Albania, Kosovo and Macedonia to experience the power of education through virtual technologies at an event to be held at UBT Kosovo in early October 2024.
To make these mobilities a reality, the partners worked together to research the training and education needs of the tourism sector, which resulted in:
- Report on the situation in the tourism sector in Macedonia ,
- preparation of a catalogue of necessary skills in the tourism sector ,
- recommendations for improving processes in tourism operations ,
- opportunities for dual education in vocational tourism schools in Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo .
The identification of skills and competence needs led to the production of innovative educational materials that will be used in the above-mentioned training of trainers and training of students.
