The UBT students visited the factory which manufactures the “Cobiax” system
14/11/2018The vast majority of people and particularly those who are an integral part of Kosovo market refer to “Cobiax” as an up-to-date technology which leads to saving construction materials and to provide enlarge the spaces in the certain building.
This system leads to a reduction in the overall weight of the respective object, from 1.5 kilonewton to 4.8 kilonewton for each square meter. This is a unique and innovative system in itself and the UBT students had the opportunity of closely observing how it operates in “Heinze” factory, which is a very powerful worldwide brand.
The UBT student held a discussion with the representatives of this factory who emphasized that the distinctive feature of it is that these products are manufactured in Kosovo and thereafter are particularly exported in Dubai and Germany by bringing lots of benefits in the field of construction and enabling an export at the scale of 100%.
The students had the chance to closely observe how these systems were implemented in practice and how the slabs were preliminarily situated and thereafter was carried out the cementing process. In addition they also had the opportunity of looking into the manufacturing systems.
This study visit has been realized thanks to UBT collaboration with the industry sector. Indeed it was of a significant importance owing to the fact that it helped the students to be up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations in the field of civil engineering.
