The UBT student, Emin Emini a lecturer in “Girls Coding Kosova”
14/08/2018The student of Computer Sciences and Engineering faculty in UBT, Emin Emini, invited by the organizers has been part of “Girls Coding Kosova”, as a speaker. This acitivity was organized by the Organization for Empowering Women in Technology and the Education Innovators in Kosova (EIK). This acitivity was held in Mitrovica.
He treated the topic “Formula of Success”, where he said that attending the high education studies in technology and other disciplines related to it would increase the potential of women to being successful in IT industry.
Emini said that there are many cases when women give up on their career because they are not offered the proper encouragement and support and often they are imposed to attend studies of an easier profession, as known as professions for women.
But, according to him, in order to be successful one needs to choose the dream profession, to believe in it, to love it and to work on it.
“In order to see how civilized is one culture, it needs to have a look at the treatment of women”, added Emini.
“Girls Coding Kosova” is a mission that aims to encourage women in reaching their full academic and professional potential in technical fields. GCK is cnotinuously working in the ecouragement of women to code, to start up their companies or to work as developers.
