The UBT and “Friends of the USA” marked the 69th birthday of President Bill Clinton
19/08/2015At a ceremony organized today by the UBT and the Association “Friends of the USA” the 69th birthday of US President, Bill Clinton, was marked.
The Rector of the UBT, PhD Edmond Hajrizi initially stated that the marking of the birthday of President Bill Clinton is a sign of gratitude and respect for his work, his political leadership, in terms of international peace, but in particular for what Clinton but also the USA have done for Kosovo. This has enabled us to have today institutions of higher education and to develop even further. Thanks to a very large contribution, a determination that President Clinton has had at the most difficult times for us.
The day of birth of President Clinton is a day on which we meet and remember with gratitude all what the US has done for Kosovo, he said, adding that we will be grateful for the previous times and the freedom and his contributions for the development of Kosovo.
Further Rector Hajrizi said that the UBT has also been helped by the United States. “They have helped us in many cases for the development of new programs, in the construction of various centers. This year we have had a lot of support especially in the construction of the virtual incubator of Kosovo, which is an innovation, in the construction of the largest library of higher education in Kosovo, and many many other cases, thanks to the cooperation and the contribution of the people of the USA”, said PhD Hajrizi.
Agim Rexhepi, President of the Association “Friends of the USA” thanked Rector Hajrizi and the UBT for the continued support of the initiatives of this association and especially for the support without hesitation of the manifestation marking the 69th birthday of President Clinton.
“This year we wanted to break the cliché by organizing this meeting in an institution like the UBT, since for several years in a row this day is marked on the road, in certain municipalities, with municipal institutions, while now it is the turn to the institution of education, because the future of this country is the youth, the future is education. With this occasion we had a lot of support by Edmond Hajrizi and here we found a lot of understanding and success in the UBT, with successes in national and international competitions”, said Mr. Rexhepi.
Mr. Rexhepi mentioned also the fact that with the mediation of the association he runs a house is being built for a family in the village Konjuh, which will soon be ready for the family.
“I would like to mention a sentence of President Bill Clinton, who says that throughout my life I will work for Kosovo. The President is very grateful for the achievements of Kosovo and he emphasizes that the future of Kosovo is the youth. We will send him congratulations and photographs to show that we too are thankful. He has been notified about this event”, said at the end Mr. Rexhepi.
