The Smart City of UBT in focus – Rector Hajrizi speaks at the Smart Cities Conference in Budapest
29/09/2024The Rector of UBT, Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi, was a speaker at the conference organized by the Improvate platform in Budapest for Smart Cities in Central and Eastern Europe. This prestigious event gathered experts, politicians, innovators, mayors, and deputy mayors from around the world to explore solutions for sustainable urban development.
Rector Hajrizi presented the UBT ecosystem created based on research and innovation, which among other things serves sustainable development for smart cities through the application of new technologies and innovative ideas.
Rector Hajrizi emphasized UBT’s contribution to providing smart solutions in various cities in Kosovo and beyond, while offering participating companies at the conference a meeting point soon at UBT’s Smart City in Lipjan, to discuss the creation of joint synergies for the collaborative application of smart solutions in the Western Balkans region.
Rector Hajrizi also visited the Embassy of Kosovo in Hungary, where he met with Ambassador Delfin Pllana, with whom he discussed opportunities for increasing cooperation between the two countries.
