Rector Hajrizi and the UBT team are participating in the International Week of Erasmus+ and CEEPUS
21/05/2024The Rector of UBT, Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi, accompanied by Elinda Krasniqi, Lirigzona Morina, Besnik Qehaja, Blerim Zylfiu, Lavdim Menxhiqi, Armend Ymeri, Bekim Marmullaku, and Muhamet Gërvalla, is participating in the International Week of Erasmus+ and CEEPUS being held at the Technical University in Sofia, Bulgaria.
This event, which brings together academics and professionals from across Europe, aims to promote international cooperation in education and scientific research.
During this event, Rector Hajrizi delivered a presentation on the topic “UBT as a Small Scale Smart City.” He shared with the attendees the vision and experiences of UBT in creating a smart city, where innovative technologies are used to enhance the quality of life and operational efficiency.
Meanwhile, the Dean of Computer Science and Engineering at UBT, Besnik Qehaja, presented on the topic “IoT Deployment in UBT Campus.”
In his presentation, Qehaja explained how UBT has integrated IoT technology. He described the practical applications of IoT on campus, including real-time monitoring of infrastructure, automated building management systems, and advanced solutions for the safety and well-being of students and staff.
