Alpbach Kosova Gives Two Full Scholarships for UBT Students
23/03/2015An information session on the scholarships of the European Forum Alpbach Austria was held at the UBT, organized in cooperation with IG Alpbach Kosova. Many UBT students but also those from other Kosovar universities showed a huge interest in attending the debate.
Shkumbin Asllani from the Alpbach Kosova, who initially made a presentation of the scholarship programs, noted that based on the good cooperation with the UBT, the organization he represented had decided to give two full scholarships to the students of this institution.
Mr. Asllani thanked UBT and Rector Edmond Hajrizi for the good cooperation during all these years. He said the Alpbach Forum was organized in Austria every year at which important issues are discussed. The key topic of this year’s debate will be inequality, he said.
He further explained that the Alpbach Forum admits around 450 students and that every student can be part of the forum at which different issues are discussed, which included political sciences, economy, healthcare, and other fields. In order to be part of the forum, one needs to fill the application form, a motivation statement, a CV, a transcript of records, and an English or German proficiency, Asllani explained.
“For all students wishing to apply to the IG-Alpbach Kosova we will give 12 scholarships. In cooperation with Rector Hajrizi, we have decided to make an exception – all students have the right to apply in two programs, the forum and IG-Alpbach Kosova. This increases your chances to get a scholarship. As an organization, we have decided that due to cooperation with the UBT, to give two full scholarships to the UBT students,” Mr. Asllani said.
