A project called “Natev Explorer” developed by Kosova students of the UBT and those of the Engineering Faculty of the Prishtina University has been declared a winner in an international race organized by NASA. As many as 950 projects from 133 different countries were part of the competition.
In a tough race between the Natev Explorer and second best project, Robo-Fabric, on the final day of voting the Kosovar students’ project crated received 68,903 votes while the Robo-Fabric received 54,321.
Natev Explorer is a web-based platform which synchronizes the data at real time with the NASA satellites and classifies geological phenomena by using artificial intelligence. The Natev Explorer solves the so-called challenge called “Volcanoes, Icebergs and Cats from Space.” The challenge has to do with exploring natural phenomena caused by volcanic eruptions, floods, tornadoes, ice-melting, forest fires, and so on.
The team of the Kosovar students was supported during the all time by many citizens and important personalities who called for voting of the Kosovo project.
