The head of Geological Service of Kosovo lectured in front of UBT students about the Geological Service of Kosovo
07/02/2019The Head of the Geological Service of Kosovo, Fidami Sahiti, has held a thematic lecture for the students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Infrastructure about the topic: “The structure, function and the development of Geological Service of Kosovo, as a mechanism that is used in for scientific researches in the field of geology, including also the field of construction.
Sahiti made a summary presentation about the Geological Service of Kosovo, while he pointed out the opportunities provided by this institution, to develop and advance their knowledge and skills in the field of construction, with special emphasis on the field of construction materials.
He stressed that in the GSK there are a considerable number of equipment and instruments that can be used to carry out researches and analysis of the soil samples which are used in the field of construction.
Moreover, during his presentation he emphasized that GSK (Geological Service of Kosovo), has a large number of equipment and mechanism to carry out researches and analysis of the soil samples which are used in the field of construction.
During this thematic lecture the UBT students had the opportunity of getting to know with the whole range of instruments and mechanisms used by the Geological Service of Kosovo. In addition, Sahiti even initiated practical demonstrations, by measuring the cement samples with the NITON instruments, aiming to determine the petrography and mineralogical comprisal of concrete samples.
