The Advisory Center, a great support for students who prefer to share their concerns

Due to the fact that the a good performance is among the main aspirations of UBT, there exist backing mechanisms for students regarding all possible aspects.

Based on this principle UBT has founded the Advisory Center for Students which is headed by the psychologist Vjollca Shahini-Pllana, who provides students with free of charge advisory sessions concerned with the mental and emotional health of students.

 

Since April of this year there have been depicted the first cases and a large a number of students have benefited from this center. As a result, there is witnessed an increasing number of students who are willing to address their concerns in this institution.

In the framework of this center, there are offered numerous services including individual, group and workshops related to aspects of mental health.

 

“This incentives raise awareness among students to take care for their mental health, and this is a major step towards success”, stated the psychologist Pllana-Shahini.

 

“Indeed, there is a highly optimistic fact that youngsters are consistently breaking the cultural barriers, taboos, stigmas and come to ask for professional aid. The care for mental health is as important physical health. Generally speaking both mind and body are inseparable to each other,” emphasized Shahini-Pllana.

 

The Advisory Center is every day open from 9.00-17.30 for all students regardless of age and their study level. The center is located in the Innovation Campus of Lipjan, Object 3, office G003.
