The UBT Rector Edmond Hajrizi has awaited a meeting a delegation from USAID AGRO headed by the Fatmir Selimi. In the framework of this program, they have discussed about the opportunity of initiating collaboration between each other
22/11/2018Hajrizi let them know about the incentives taken by UBT particularly in the field of agriculture. In addition he pointed out that that this activity aims to provide sound, innovative and cost-effective solutions. As result, they will lead to increase in employment in Kosovo.
Meanwhile the representatives of USAID-AGRO put the emphasis on the main pillars of the program which aims at fostering the economic development, raising technical capacities, creating new job places, addressing the issue related to the food quality assurance and launching products in the market.
During this meeting the delegation of USAID AGRO, accompanied by the UBT Rector visited the library and Polyclinic. They also availed from the occasion to pay a visit to all innovations created by UBT students which were practically implemented by the industry and partners. Due to their contribution Kosovo was subject to a dignitary representation all over the world.
Owing to the fact that the agricultural sector is of significant importance for economic development and welfare of Kosovo citizens, UBT has set up the program of Food Science and Biotechnology aiming to prepare the youngest generations of food technologists as well as it has established agricultural parcels which will be utilized from UBT students for study purposes.
