UBT Rector Hajrizi Represents Kosovo at EQQ General Assembly in Warsaw

UBT Rector Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi has participated at the meeting of the General Assembly of the European Organization for Quality (EQQ) which is taking place in Warsaw, Poland, where he represented the Republic of Kosovo in this very important European organization.

In a speech delivered at the summit, Rector Hajrizi noted that the Republic of Kosovo needed creating a modern infrastructure of quality based on the best European and American practices.  This creates opportunities for the development of small and medium-size enterprises and connection with big important companies, it increases the competitive capabilities, and helps Kosovo’s integration process in the European Union, Hajrizi said among other things.

In this respect, he noted that through its activities but also the Quality Kosovo association, which was set up to serve this goal, the institutions, businesses, and different associations were being assisted in the field of quality.

Dr. Hajrizi said Kosovo’s membership in bodies like the European Organization for Quality was very important in terms of applying the practices and most relevant institutions of the European Union and beyond. 

The UBT rector noted that by representing Kosovo at the EQQ, the institution he leads was opening doorways of cooperation with important European organizations and was securing for Kosovo experience and expertise in the field of quality, an aspect of special importance for all citizens and institutions of the state. 

Leaders of the European Organization for Quality noted the importance of Kosovo’s representation in this institution and expressed their interest in helping the Republic of Kosovo, namely, different initiatives from Kosovo, in securing quality in all walks of life.

Kosovo has been part of the European Organization for Quality through the Quality Kosovo led by Dr. Edmond Hajrizi since December 2013, when this association was granted membership at a meeting of the general Assembly in Istanbul, Turkey.

 

Quality Kosova is an association that deals with issues of quality, standards, certification, and validations.  It promotes quality in Kosovo on the basis of the European and international standards; it also deals with the certification of the systems of products according to the international standards like ISO 9001 and others.
