The book “Writing and Communication” and the magazine “The Political Scientist” have been promoted at the UBT
24/01/2015The book of Professor Safet Zejnullahu “Writing and Communication” and the magazine “The Political Scientist”, two publications of the UBT, have been promoted today in a ceremony organized in this institution.
The Rector of the UBT, Dr. Edmond Hajrizi has stressed the intention of the UBT in supporting and promoting the book for the needs of the students, but also for other readers. He praised the book of Professor Zejnullahu as very useful and of a specific field, which has recognized sensational developments along with the changes that technology development has brought.
Whereas the magazine “The Political Scientist”, he said, is a particular publication, with authors, topics and analyses selected for various fields and phenomena, present in our society.
Dr. Hajrizi has also mentioned the numerous publications that the UBT has issued so far and the plan for the books, magazines and other publications, which will see the light soon. He also stressed that the UBT, along with the books of the authors who are part of the UBT, will translate and publish also scientific and professional books of world renowned authors.
The author of the book “Writing and Communication”, Safet Zejnullahu, in his address, has emphasized a range of issues related to the culture of reading and the real risk which comes to the book from the development of technology. He drew the attention that, no matter how positive the advantages the internet offers are in terms of providing information, the creation of the idea of providing complete information, nothing will replace the book and it will never be replaced, whether be it printed or in the electronic form. He stressed the need for realistic assessment of the weight of the book as a source of information, which must be rooted with the development of the culture of reading, in educational institutions and in the family.
The chief editor of the magazine “The Political Scientist”, Alban Lauka stressed that the magazine covers a large number of articles of professional authors and aims to offer valuable contribution to the development of the political opinion in the country and in the areas where Albanian is spoken.
