A UBT Delegation Visits Portugal

An UBT delegation comprising Dr. Lulzim Beqiri, dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Spatial Planning, and Professors Bertan Karahoda and Petrit Ahmeti have been on a study visit to Portugal.  The visit was organized in the context of the TEMPUS project, part of which is also the UBT.

The visit focused on developing study programs and improvement of the existing curricula on the energy efficiency.  The visit was organized by the Minho University as an idea to promote the programs and laboratories dedicated to these programs.  Representatives of the “Hasan Prishtina” University of Prishtina, “Aleksander Moisui” University from Durres, and “Polis” University from Tirana, the Podgorica University of Montenegro, and other universities were also part of the visit to the university of Minho.

During the two-day visit, the UBT professors among others, met the representatives of the host university with whom they discussed prospects for establishing cooperation between these two institutions, development of joint programs, staff and student mobility, study visits, and exchange of experiences.

 

The Minho University has 12,000 students, an academic staff of 1,200 scholars, and a technical/administrative staff of 600 persons. It has two campuses, one in the city of Braga and the other in the city of Guimares, and  it also six laboratories of specific fields.
