UBT Start-up School launches training in Prizren, a new opportunity for entrepreneurs and young innovators

Prizren is transforming into a new center of innovation and entrepreneurship, as UBT Start-up School officially commenced its operations during a special ceremony. This unique platform aims to support entrepreneurs, business owners, and young professionals in building and developing their business ideas.

The opening ceremony, held at UBT’s premises in Prizren, was attended by UBT Rector Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi, the Director of the Department for Education and Professional Development at UBT, Besnik Skenderi, as well as a large number of students, young entrepreneurs, representatives from the business community, and mentors from the fields of entrepreneurship and technology.

Quality Kosova, with the support of ITP in Prizren, through the German Government (implemented by GIZ) and German Cooperation, has established the UBT Start-UP School, an initiative aimed at enhancing the skills and talents of young people in the fields of business and innovation in Kosovo.

Rector Hajrizi emphasized the importance of education and innovation in the development of new businesses and the support that UBT offers to students and young people passionate about entrepreneurship.

“UBT Start-up School is a comprehensive platform that will help young entrepreneurs develop their ideas, build important networks, and gain access to the best mentors from Kosovo and beyond. We are creating an environment where talent, creativity, and innovation come together to produce success,” stated Rector Hajrizi.

On the other hand, Besnik Skenderi, speaking about the content and objectives of the program, highlighted the importance of linking education with industry, enabling a new approach to developing the skills of young entrepreneurs.

This innovative program aims to create a favorable environment for education and skill development in entrepreneurship, helping participants prepare and expand their businesses through direct engagement with experts from Kosovo, Germany, and the USA.
