Best UBT in the region by WURI 2024 rankings

UBT has again been ranked as the best in the region in several separate categories by the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI 2024).

In 5th place for the Category “Support for Global Resilience”, in 26th place for the “Generative AI Application” category and 29th place for the “Crisis Management” category.

This ranking has made UBT among the 300 best universities in the world in the overall category, continuing to represent its high level of quality and influence globally.

The Rector of UBT, Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi said that this result shows the establishment of the institution on international and world level, but also places Kosovo on the map of the most prestigious universities in the world.

“UBT is proving that it has started to position itself in the comparison area with other institutions around the world and we are very proud that today we have very good results in the rankings in several categories of WURI, thus placing Kosovo on the map of the most prestigious universities in the world”, said Rector Hajrizi.

UBT is ranked 5th in the category “Support for Global Resilience”, which shows the institution’s commitment to promoting global sustainability and supporting project initiatives and programs that contribute to global resilience. In this category, UBT is praised for joining global initiatives of universities to contribute to mitigating the impact of the war in Ukraine. In this context, UBT through media group has helped to inform fair and impartial, has awarded scholarships to Ukrainian students who wish to study at UBT, welcomed ukrainian journalists sheltered in Kosovo, and held open discussions and panels to address this topic.

UBT has placed 26th in the category for “Generative AI Application”, through which it proves that it is the leading institution for integrating AI and AVR generation technology. UBT fosters innovation with AI and Cyber Security laboratories, multiple centers and a team of cybersecurity professionals. Generative AI improves learning, management and research, focusing on interaction and ethics.

Among the world’s most prestigious universities, UBT is ranked 29th in the Crisis Management category, which it proves focused on policies for increased sustainability, renewable energy and efficiency, green and smart construction, and overall development addressing the issue of climate change.
