On successful completion of this program students should be able to:
Knowledge
- Understand and summarize knowledge in national and international law, assessing legislation based on the hierarchy of norms (Kosovo legal framework).
- Explain and critically review legal doctrine, interpreting the Kosovo legal framework across various branches of law (civil, criminal, administrative, commercial, constitutional).
- Demonstrate understanding and the ability to interpret legal norms from civil, criminal, administrative, commercial, and constitutional law.
- Summarize judicial decisions from civil, criminal, administrative, commercial, and constitutional law, gaining comprehensive legal insights.
Skills
- Learn to effectively outline, draft, and write legal documents using the IRAC method (Issue, Rule, Analyze, Conclusion), and prepare oral arguments to address different legal questions.
- Gather, analyze, and interpret legal issues in civil, criminal, administrative, commercial, and constitutional law within Kosovo and international frameworks.
- Communicate effectively in writing and orally in an analytical manner to solve legal disputes and issues, ensuring clarity and precision in legal arguments.
Competencies
- Apply and implement legal knowledge through practical engagement in legal clinics, court simulations (moot court competitions), and study visits to courts, prosecutorial offices, and law firms.
- Work collaboratively in teams with law enforcement authorities (police, prosecutors, courts), NGOs, and private sector stakeholders, promoting cooperation and professionalism.
- Execute research projects involving analysis and interpretation of legal regulations within the Kosovo legislation, contributing to legal scholarship and practical applications.
