Admission Criteria, Enrollment Quotas and Recognition of Qualifications

Admission Criteria

According to the Statue of UBT College, the conditions for admission to university studies in mechatronics are as follows:

  • successful completion of a verified secondary school diploma in Kosovo or successful completion of primary and secondary school abroad with at least 12 years of education, certification to the relevant degree;
  • have passed the national mature exam;
  • special authorization issued by the Ministry on request.

 

Enrollment Quota

The enrollment quota for the Bachelor of Science in Mechatronics Engineering at UBT College is set at 140 students per academic year. This quota reflects the institution’s commitment to maintaining an optimal student-to-faculty ratio, providing each student with quality education, personalized support, and access to the necessary resources, including laboratory facilities and industry-linked projects.

 

Recognition of Qualifications

The process for recognizing prior qualifications includes:

  • Application for Credit Recognition – Students must submit their request for credit recognition to the relevant academic administration office, including documentation verifying previously earned credits or qualifications.
  • Required Documentation – The necessary documents include transcripts, proof of prior qualifications, and a description of completed courses, including content and learning outcomes for each course.
  • Evaluation and Approval – Your application will be reviewed by a designated faculty committee, which will assess whether your qualifications align with the standards of the Mechatronics program. Based on this evaluation, credits may be recognized to cover relevant courses within the program.
  • Transfers from Other Programs – In accordance with Article 34, paragraph 5 of Law No. 08/L-110 on the Kosovo Accreditation Agency, students who have previously studied in other accredited programs and wish to transfer to our program may request recognition of completed courses, provided there is at least 70% similarity in content and learning objectives with the Mechatronics program. This ensures that students possess the foundational knowledge and skills needed to successfully continue their studies in our program.
